Episode 30: Peter Chapman, Faith, AI and Amorfs: Christianity in the Age of AI

Season #1

What does Christian faith have to say about artificial intelligence, data and the future of technology?

In this episode of the Monday Movement Vodcast, Mark Bilton sits down with Peter Chapman, Founder of First Cognition and creator of Amorfs, to explore the intersection of faith, AI, work and calling.

Peter has spent more than forty years working in technology, consulting and complex systems. His interest in AI and data began early, and today he sees that work as part of a calling he believes God placed on his life.

The conversation goes beyond the usual question of whether AI is good or bad. Peter argues that the bigger issue is the knowledge, values and worldview behind the technology. If AI is shaped by poor information or the wrong priorities, intelligence alone will not solve the problem.

Mark and Peter also discuss why Christians should not simply withdraw from technology, but engage it with wisdom, integrity and a clear ethical framework. They explore what remains uniquely human, why judgement and values still matter, and how work in technology can become part of Christian ministry and influence.

This episode is for Christian leaders, business owners and professionals asking how faith should shape the way we respond to AI, innovation and the work already in our hands.
